Book Launch Running: The Alex Decouteau Story
08 November 2014
Alex Decoteau has never been forgotten. Killed in action while running to deliver a message at the Battle of Passchendaele in 1917, Decoteau was Canada’s first aboriginal policeman and a popular runner, who competed for Canada in the 1912 Olympics. With Running: The Alex Decoteau Story (first performed at the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival in 2001 and published by Fictive Press in 2014), Charlotte Cameron joins the many storytellers who have told and retold Decoteau’s inspirational story that encourages us to strive to fulfill our hopes and dreams.
